JAKARTA - By the direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to take action against community organizations with problems. And today, Thursday, December 9, one of the posts of mass organizations in the area of RW 014 Rawamangun, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, was demolished by police officers. The demolition was supported by residents because they felt safer without the substation.

As stated by Anwar (26). This East Jakarta Rawamangun resident said he was relieved by the demolition of the mass organization substation in his area.

"Yes, I'm more relieved. The substation didn't have a permit, so it was demolished", said Anwar at the location, Thursday, December 9.

Anwar is a street vendor (PKL) in that location. According to Anwar, to construct a building in a public place, you must first obtain a permit from the local village or sub-district. However, the posts of mass organizations have not yet obtained a permit.

"If we are street vendors, we have a permit from the sub-district. So if you want to build a building, even a government official, you must have a permit", he said.

Based on Anwar's statement, every night the members of the mass organizations are noisy.

"If it's noisy at night, get together. If you have a permit, go ahead, if you don't have it, take it apart", said Anwar again.

Currently, hundreds of substations belonging to mass organizations in East Jakarta are in the process of being demolished. East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Police Erwin Kurniawan, said the demolition was carried out to provide a sense of security for residents.

"Indeed, we have seen a lot of people's unrest, and this is also an answer to the President's direction on how the Police should respond to mass organizations", he said.

Against orderly organizations, officers will work together to do positive things.

"Besides dismantling, some have also been converted. What was originally for mass organizations, will be used as a command post, for example, the anti brawl post, the security and security command post", he said.

The police noted that 120 substations were belonging to mass organizations in East Jakarta. Erwin said the demolition of the substations was carried out in stages.
