JAKARTA - Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham), Yasonna Laoly proposed that the revision of Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation (Ciptaker) does not need to be included in the 2022 Priority National Legislation Program (Prolegnas).

"We are preparing a revision of the Job Creation Law as an order from the Constitutional Court, and because it is included in the open cumulative list, it does not need to be included in the 2022 Prolegnas," Yasonna said at a working meeting (Raker) with the Legislative Body (Baleg) of the DPR RI, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, 6. December.

Although not included in the 2022 Prolegnas Priority, Yasonna invited the Indonesian House of Representatives to discuss the revision of the Copyright Law in early 2022. In accordance with the Constitutional Court's decision, the revision of the law must be completed within two years.

Therefore, we encourage the revision of the Law to be included in the list of Priority Prolegnas 2022," said Yasonna. Yasonna emphasized that the government is committed to synergize with the DPR to effectively discuss the revision of Law 12 of 2011. "And the government hopes that the DPR will cooperate in revising the Job Creation Law. Hopefully, the commitment and cooperation between the DPR and the government will be maintained properly," he concluded.
