Jokowi Confirms Inauguration Of Army Commander Next Week, Reshuffle Has Not Been Thought

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the inauguration of the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Andika Perkasa as TNI (Army) Commander will be held next week. However, the exact day has not yet been determined because it is still looking for a good day.

"The inauguration of the Commander in Chief will be next week. The day is still looking for a good day. Next week, God willing", said Jokowi after attending the 10th Anniversary of the NasDem Party, Thursday, November 11.

Meanwhile, regarding the issue of a reshuffle or cabinet reshuffle, Jokowi admitted that he had not thought about it even though it had been widely discussed.

"The reshuffle has not been considered", said Jokowi.

The House of Representatives previously approved General Andika Perkasa to become the TNI Commander to replace Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, who was entering retirement. This approval was taken in a plenary meeting at the Indonesia House of Representatives.

Previously, Andika had also carried out a number of stages in the implementation of the fit and proper test held by Commission I of the House of Representatives.
