It's Getting Harder To Stop, TikTok Is Now Available On Big Screen TVs Via Amazon's Fire TV

JAKARTA - TikTok is now available on all Amazon Fire TV devices in the US and Canada starting today. TikTok has enjoyed great success over the past few years thanks to its viral and hilarious content.

They have also proven to be very popular among teenagers and adults. But until now, TikTok is only available on mobile devices, such as iPhone and iPad and Android phones and tablets.

The rise of TikTok has not been without its fair share of controversy. From the outset, there were concerns about what user data and information was stored, and where it was stored. There are also concerns about how much influence the app has on a younger audience, especially when it comes to questionable trends and how addictive the app is.

Despite the issues, users and content creators seem to continue to flock to the platform.

In an exclusive partnership with Amazon, TikTok is now rolling out to the big screen on all Fire TV devices. This is the first time TikTok has expanded beyond mobile devices. Amazon also has some nice hands-free controls via Alexa. For example, users can say "Alexa, play TikTok" or "Alexa, pause" while using the app.

The Fire TV app also features an AutoPlay feature that will continue to play new videos without the user having to touch the remote or call Alexa. Amazon said that TikTok will be "coming soon" to Echo Show devices as well, though the company didn't give an exact date when it would launch.

Those who wish to access TikTok can download the app for free via the Appstore on their Fire TV device. They will then have to log into their existing TikTok account or create a new one.

Once logged in, users will be able to access the “For You and Following” feed, in addition to the “Discover” feed. According to Amazon Entertainment's Vice President of Devices and Services, Daniel Rausch, "the whole family can now enjoy their favorite TikTok videos together on the best screens at home with TikTok on Fire TV."

Many content creators have found a foothold with TikTok and are using it as a way to easily interact and grow their community. TikTok is commonly known as “Pages For You”, which are algorithm-based tabs that display content that users may find interesting, while filtering out content that may not be relevant.
