Bologna Vs Cagliari 2-0, Mihajlovic: A Deserved Win, I Want More From Arnautovic

JAKARTA - Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic said his team's victory over Cagliari on Tuesday morning was deserved. He also wants Marko Arnautovic to show more of his abilities.

Bologna won 2-0 over Walter Mazzarri's side. Two of the hosts' goals came in the second half, one of which was from Austria international Arnautovic in injury time.

"We played well, we knew they would close and we needed a lot of patience," Mihajlovic told DAZN.

"In the first half we were a bit slow and we didn't attack depth. In the second half we knew that sooner or later we were going to score, Marko did well and I think the win was deserved because we made very few mistakes.

"They only had a chance with Lykogiannis' shot late in the game, we scored two goals, hit the post and had more chances. The important thing is not to concede, because sooner or later our front line will score one goal."

Regarding Bologna's opening goal scored by Lorenzo De Silvestri in the 49th minute, Mihajlovic said the goal process had been implemented in training.

"It's not De Silvestri who should be in that position, but (Roberto) Soriano. But it's a scheme we've tried in training and the players know the moves they have to make to score goals by playing this way."

"When we build and attack, the way we play doesn't change, despite having extra defenders. We've always been a team that wants to attack and play attacking football."

Back to Arnautovic. He was involved in De Silvestri's goal and doubled Bologna's lead in injury time.

"In the first half everyone wanted the ball at their feet and didn't look for depth, in the second half we played differently," continued Mihajlovic. “Marko is a different player than (Rodrigo) Palacio, who opens up more space.

"He knows how to protect the ball and open up spaces, like he did in the first goal. It's a game where he has to be decisive, I expect more and more from him because he has character and quality.

"I hope he can do better in the next matches."
