BREAKING NEWS: North Sumatra Nias Earthquake Magnitude 6.2
JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 6.2 magnitude (M) rocked the West Nias region, North Sumatra. The earthquake occurred at 00:04 WIB.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) via its Twitter account, Tuesday, November 2, said the epicenter of the Nias North Sumatra earthquake was 130 kilometers southwest of West Nias.
The coordinates of the Nias earthquake in North Sumatra are 0.19 North Latitude and 96.58 East Longitude with a depth of 16 kilometers.
The earthquake did not have the potential for a tsunami. There have been no reports of the impact of the Nias earthquake in North Sumatra.
