AGO Receives Delegation Of Evidence And Suspect Munarman

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office received the delegation of evidence and suspects in the alleged criminal act of terrorism with the suspect Munarman.

Head of the Information and Law Center at the AGO Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak said the Supreme Court had appointed the East Jakarta District Court to examine and decide on the criminal case.

"In the submission of the suspect and the evidence (phase II), the suspect and his legal advisor were cooperative," Leonard said, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 1.

After the handover, Leonard said, the suspect was detained at the detention center with a Prosecution Level Detention Order (T-7) Number RT-225/JKT-TIM/ETL/11/2021 dated November 1, 2021 for 60 days from November 1, 2021 to 30 December 2021 at the Polda Metro Jaya Narcotics Detention Center.

"The public prosecutor's team will soon prepare an indictment to be immediately transferred to the East Jakarta District Court," Leonard emphasized.

Previously, the suspect Munaman was detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center by the Detachment 88 Police investigators from May 7, 2021 to October 31, 2021.

Munarman is suspected of being involved in a number of terrorist plots in Indonesia. The police suspect that Munarman has taken allegiance in several cities, such as Makassar, Jakarta and Medan.

Munarman was arrested by Densus at his home, Pamulang, South Tangerang, Tuesday, April 27.
