JAKARTA - The Bogor City Transportation Agency wants to train city transportation (angkot) drivers to support the operation of the Kita Trans Pakuan Bus, which was launched on November 2, 2021.

In a press release received by the city government, the Bogor City Government plans to gradually stop the operation of 147 city transportation and replace them with 49 units of Bus Kita Trans Pakuan.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya when visiting the Laksana Body in Semarang, Central Java, Friday, October 29, explained that the city government will train angkot drivers to drive the bus with a passenger capacity of 35 people.

"Angkot drivers become bus drivers with a shift system, those who do not become bus drivers will be trained as mechanics or placed in the maintenance department," he said.

Head of the Bogor City Transportation Service, Eko Prabowo, said that the operation of the Kita Trans Pakuan Bus was part of the city government's efforts to organize the transportation system.

To support the operation of the bus, he said, the agency plans to train drivers starting in early November 2021 and check bus stops and routes.

"Please enjoy the public, this bus is free or free until the end of December. The advantages are many. It's comfortable, the time is fast because it doesn't stick, and other facilities," said Eko.
