Are You A Basketball Fan? IBL Ready To Pamper Through NFT Products
JAKARTA - IBL in collaboration with Kolektibel.com is ready to pamper Indonesian basketball fans through NFT (Non-Fungible Token) products or digital files that present footage of the best moments in the country's highest basketball league.
IBL President Director Junas Miradiasyah said the launch of the NFT is one way to bring fans closer to IBL players and at the same time introduce Indonesian basketball more broadly.
"This is a proof that we are not only managing the competition, but also developing innovations so that basketball can be closer to its target market," Junas said in a webinar in Jakarta, Thursday.
"What's the way, they can not only enjoy but can also collect a product which will become an important momentum by fans so that in the future it becomes an even greater value," he added as reported by Antara.
In addition to bringing fans closer, Junas said that NFT also has a positive impact on IBL players. NFT will be an asset in the future that makes athletes have value for their achievements as individuals.
Kolektibel.com CEO Pungkas Riandika explained that IBL NFT will present important moments in the form of footage of IBL players' actions in the 2021 season.
All available actions on IBL NFT have been sorted in the best section.
"All match documentation videos are carefully curated based on important moments in the match. The shortlist of moments is then visually repackaged and registered into the smart contract blockchain, this is what makes each asset recorded its ownership history data," said Pungkas.
"NFT is a new technology but it can really support the void in this industry, one of which is about ownership, transparency, originality," he added.
The IBL NFT product is currently still in the closed beta stage with limited access. However, basketball fans can still join the waiting list program during this period. For those who want to try, you can register through iblindonesia.com/nft.
