Different From The Central Policy, In Cianjur, The Price Of PCR Has Not Fallen, But It Is Still Rp. 450 Thousand
CIANJUR - The Cianjur Health Service, West Java, has not lowered the price of the PCR test by Rp450 thousand. This attitude is different from the central policy which requires the price of PCR to be reduced by Rp. 275 thousand (Java-Bali).
Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said, for social purposes, his party is freeing CPR tests, including for residents with indications of COVID-19. However, not for other purposes, especially as travel or business requirements, they are still subject to fees.
"We are free for social activities, including residents suspected of being exposed to COVID-19. However, for businesses or others, fees are still charged at the standard price from the government," he said when contacted in Cianjur, Antara, Saturday, October 30.
Regarding the price reduction for commercial PCR tests, he said, his party was still waiting for a decree from the central government. So for now, the price for the PCR test in Cianjur is still at IDR 450 thousand.
"We are waiting for an official decree from the center to lower the price of the PCR test according to the president's instructions," he said.
Spokesperson for the Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center, Dr. Yusman Faisal, said the price for the PCR test in Cianjur was still asking for the old price of Rp. 450 thousand. However, it is possible that the following month, the price will be cheaper according to the president's instructions to be lowered.
"Only for COVID-19 positive patients it is free, if for travel or business purposes a tariff is charged, with a predetermined price of Rp. 450 thousand. "For the implementation of the latest prices, we are still waiting for a decree from the ministry which is holding a technical meeting, there has been no official decision and it is still under discussion," he said.
His party will follow the instructions after the price is set and the ministry's decree has been received. But for now, the price of the PCR test for travel and business is still applying the old price.
"Once a decision is made, of course we will follow the price determined by the central government," he said.
