17 Suspects In Probolinggo Regency Government Positions To Be Tried Soon
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has submitted evidence and 17 suspects in the case of alleged bribery in the selection of positions within the Probolinggo Regency Government in 2021 to the prosecution for immediate trial.
The seventeen people are ASN Probolinggo Regency Government. They are the giver of bribes in the case.
"Today, the prosecutor's team received the delegation of suspects and evidence (phase II) from the investigative team because the case files for suspect SO and his friends have been declared complete," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 29.
Ali said the detention of the 17 suspects was continued by the team of prosecutors for the next 20 days, starting from October 29 to November 17, 2021.
Eleven suspects were detained at the KPK Rutan Pomdam Jaya Guntur Branch, Jakarta, namely Ali Wafa (AW), Mawardi (MW), Mashudi (MU), Mohammad Bambang (MB), Masruhen (MH), Abdul Wafi (AW), Kho'im (KO), Akhmad Saifullah (US), Jaelani (JL), Uhar (UR), and Nurul Hadi (NH).
Furthermore, Nurul Huda (NH) and Hasan (HS) were detained at the East Jakarta Police Rutan, Sugito (SO) was detained at the Salemba Rutan in Central Jakarta, Sahir (SR) was detained at the Central Jakarta Police Detention Center, Samsuddin (SD) was detained at the KPK Detention Center on The KPK Red and White Building, and Maliha (MI) were detained at the Polda Metro Jaya detention center.
"With the time limit determined by law, the prosecutor team within 14 working days will immediately transfer the case file and indictment to the corruption court. The trial is scheduled to take place at the Surabaya Corruption Court," said Ali.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named a total of 22 suspects in the selection case.
Five other suspects, namely the inactive Probolinggo Regent Puput Tantriana Sari (PTS), Hasan Aminuddin (HA) who is Puput's husband and also served as Probolinggo Regent, Doddy Kurniawan (DK) as ASN/Camat Krejengan, Probolinggo Regency, and Muhammad Ridwan ( MR) as ASN/Camat Paiton, Probolinggo Regency. All four are bribe recipients.
While one other suspect as a bribe giver, namely Sumarto (SO) as an ASN Probolinggo Regency.
As for the construction of the case, the KPK explained that the phase II simultaneous village head elections in the Probolinggo Regency area, which was originally scheduled for December 27, 2021, had been postponed.
As of September 9, 2021, there are 252 village heads from 24 sub-districts in Probolinggo Regency who have finished serving.
To fill the vacancy, the village head will be filled by the acting village head (kades) who come from ASN in the Probolinggo Regency Government and the proposal is made through the sub-district head.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) mentions that there are special requirements in which the proposed names of the village heads must obtain the approval of Hasan, who is also Puput's husband, in initial form on the official memorandum of proposing names as a representation of Puput and the candidates for the village chiefs are also required to provide and deposit a certain amount of money.
There is also the tariff to become an Acting Village Head in Probolinggo Regency of Rp. 20 million per person plus in the form of a village treasury land rental tribute at a rate of Rp. 5 million per hectare.
As recipients, Puput and his friends are suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 1 of the Criminal Code.
Meanwhile, as donors, 18 people were suspected of violating Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 1999. 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.
