Shabu-thrower From Outside The Prison Walls In Semarang Finally Caught
SEMARANG - Class 1 Semarang prison officers finally arrested a drug smuggler who used the mode of throwing the illicit goods from outside the prison walls.
Head of Class 1 Semarang Prison, Supriyanto, confirmed the attempt to thwart the smuggling of 12.82 grams of crystal methamphetamine.
According to him, the person who threw the crystal methamphetamine was named Reza Erlangga, a resident of North Semarang. Supriyanto explained that the smuggling attempt took place around 12.00 WIB.
He said that the smuggling failure stemmed from the suspicions of officers who found someone pacing around the prison walls.
"Officers watched the suspicious person through CCTV installed outside the prison wall," he said. After throwing the object suspected of being a tennis ball, he said, the suspicious person immediately fled.
At that time, he continued, officers immediately gave chase until the perpetrator was finally arrested.
From inside the tennis ball that was thrown into the prison, four small plastic bags containing methamphetamine weighing 12.82 grams were found.
The findings were then submitted to the Semarang Polrestabes for further legal proceedings.
