Nemangkawi Task Force Arrests Nabire And Yapen Papua Police Members, Allegedly Selling Weapons To KKB

JAKARTA - The Nemangkawi Task Force has arrested two police officers in the Papua region. The arrests were made because they were suspected of selling firearms (senpi) to the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).

"He was (arrested), being investigated," said the Head of the Law Enforcement Task Force for the Nemangkawi Task Force, Kombes Faisal, when confirmed, Friday, October 29.

The two police officers are members of the Nabire Police and the Yapen Police. They were arrested on Wednesday, October 27.

"Ardi from (Polres) Yapen. Joni (Polres) Nabire," said Faisal.

However, Faisal was reluctant to comment on the evidence that was secured from the arrests of the two. Because, based on information, there was cash of Rp12 million to 80 bullets confiscated from the arrest.
