Husband Who Killed His Wife With 3 Kilogram Gas Cylinders, Arrested In Cibubur Regional Park
BEKASI - The Bekasi City Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to arrest Harry Purnama (30) the husband who had the heart to take the life of his wife Novi Safitri (25). Harry hit his wife in the head with a 3-kilogram gas cylinder and died at the scene.
"The perpetrator was arrested while sitting in a residential garden in the Cibubur area. The investigators are still investigating the motive for this," said Bekasi City Police Chief Commissioner Pol Aloysius Supriyadi to reporters, Friday, October 29.
Aloysius said the incident was experienced by the victim when he was fast asleep. Suddenly, the perpetrator, who is also her husband, immediately hit the victim with a three-kilogram gas cylinder until she died.
"The victim died on the spot, the wound caused death in the head (victim). Regarding how many times he was hit, we are still waiting for the results of the post-mortem," he said.
The police chief also confirmed that before the persecution took place, both of them were in good condition.
"There was no commotion at the location of his son. After the new incident, neighbors arrived. Currently, investigators are still investigating, including conducting a psychological examination of the perpetrator," said the Police Chief.
Previously, it was reported that Novi Savitri (26) was found dead in a pathetic condition at her home in the Jatiraden Village area, Jatisampurna, Bekasi City. The victim died after being hit by a gas cylinder measuring 3 kilograms by Harry Purnama, his own husband.
Alvi Armas, Head of RT 05/09, Kelurahan Jatiraden, testified that Harry carried out his sadistic act while his wife was sleeping.
At the time of the incident, Novi and one of her children were asleep. For no apparent reason, Harry immediately hit his wife with a gas cylinder until Novi died.
"So he was beaten while sleeping. After being hit, the child immediately woke up, seeing his mother covered in blood," said Alvi Armas to reporters, Thursday, October 28.
Alvi admitted that he did not know the root of the problem of domestic violence (KDRT).
