Withdrawing From Hanura, Gede Pasek Is Called A Subordinate Of OSO Wants To Create A New Political Party
JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Hanura Party, Gede Pasek Suardika resigned from his position and left the party chaired by Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO).
Hanura politician Inas Nasrullah said that Gede Pasek Suardika would form a new political party after he resigned. "We are still preparing to form a party. Yes, there is a new party, we'll just have to find out what the name of the party is," Inas told reporters, Friday, October 29.
Inas suspects that this new political party will be declared in the near future. In fact, Gede Pasek is also said to have brought several Hanura Party cadres to the success of his plan to establish the new political party.
"December. As far as I know in December they will declare," he said.
However, the DPR member who once sat on Commission VI of the DPR did not want to comment further on the decision to resign Gede Pasek. However, he emphasized that the Hanura Party did not prohibit its cadres from leaving.
"If you want to step down, just step back. You're not an important person, after all. If it's an important person, we'll announce it using a certain event, we'll celebrate it, if it's just Pasek stepping down, he's already resigned," he said.
Previously, the Pasek statement letter addressed to all ranks of the Hanura Party management from the center to the regions was uploaded on a Facebook account.
Pasek has also confirmed his resignation. However, he has not explained further the reason why he resigned.
"That's right," Pasek told reporters, Friday, October 29.
Pasek said that his resignation letter had been submitted to the General Chairperson, Oesman Sapta Odang (OSO). He had also previously informed OSO verbally.
"With this, I would like to openly submit my resignation as Secretary General of the Hanura Party DPP and I have submitted an official letter of resignation to the General Chair. This official letter is a continuation of my verbal submission to the General Chair at the previous time," he said.
