TransJakarta Bus Accident, Police Find Drugs In Driver's Contract
JAKARTA - Police found that the driver with the initials J was under the influence of drugs at the time of the accident of two TransJakarta buses on Jalan MT Haryono, East Jakarta. The police found some drugs in his rented house.
"It's just that when we checked the rental there were some drugs," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Argo Wiyono to reporters, Friday, October 29.
However, based on the results of the examination, the family denied that J had a history of severe illness. Previously, it was suspected that the driver was suffering from heart disease.
"(J's family) said there was no history of serious illness, only general illnesses such as colds," said Argo.
Therefore, it will ask for information from health experts. The goal, to find out the type of drug that was found.
"It's just that to determine what medicine this is, we have to use an expert witness from a doctor," said Argo.
For information, the accident of two TransJakarta buses occurred on Monday, October 25 morning.
The accident began when a Transjakarta bus was stopped to drop off passengers at the Cawang Ciliwung Bus Stop. Suddenly, a bus from behind hit a bus that was stopped at the stop.
The front of the Transjakarta Jakarta bus that crashed from behind was damaged, as was the condition of the back of the Transjakarta bus which was stopped at the Cawang Ciliwung Bus Stop.
As a result of the accident, two people died. They are driver and passenger.
