Bogor Regent Mocks Youth Events With Unclear Output: Not Cool, Only Ceremony, Gathering And Eating

JAKARTA - The Regent of Bogor, West Java, Ade Yasin, poked fun at the youth. But what is being insinuated is the youth who often make activities but the results are not clear.

"It's no longer cool for youth events to rely on ceremonial events, get-togethers, meals, then events that don't have a clear 'output'," said Ade Yasin at the Cibinong Regional Secretariat Auditorium, Bogor Regency, Thursday, October 28 yesterday.

According to him, the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab) now actually needs the contribution of youth in holding activities that raise the spirit of development.

"So that young people are able and strong to face the demographic bonus in 2025," said Ade Yasin at the commemoration of the Youth Pledge held by the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) Bogor Regency, West Java.

He said that the figure of youth is always described as having a high spirit, powerful and intellectual, so that his role is expected as a foundation in determining the direction of the nation's goals.

"We recognize the important role of youth, especially in Bogor Regency as agents of change, for that we want Bogor Regency youth to actively innovate and be actively involved in building the Bogor Regency community," he said.

Ade Yasin said that the Bogor Regency Government has shown its concern for the younger generation by trying to improve the quality of education through various programs, one of which is the Pancakarsa Scholarship for 1,200 outstanding youths.

The reason is, Law Number 40 of 2009 concerning Youth and Bogor Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning Youth Development, mandates that the government give awards to outstanding youth.

"The 2021 Pancakarsa Scholarships are given to 1,200 young people aged 16-30 years, as an award for achievements in the fields of religion, arts, sports, youth, social mobilization, and academics, as well as to build a quality, competitive and empowered young generation in Bogor Regency. competitiveness in the future," he said.
