Iptu Dwi Setiawan Who Died In A Toll Road Accident Is Escorting The Independent Vaccination Supervision Team

JAKARTA - Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said Iptu Dwi Setiawan, who died in an accident, was escorting the agglomeration independent vaccination supervision team to the Bekasi District Police.

"Our members are on duty while carrying out escorts to the supervision group for the independent vaccination team," Sambodo told reporters, Friday, October 29.

However, while on the KM 13+400 Cikampek Toll Road, Iptu Dwi Setiawan was involved in an accident. In which, the truck driven by the man with the initials CS actually headed for him.

In fact, from afar Iptu Dwi Setiawan had given a siren as a signal for the truck to change lanes. So, the group can pass the truck.

"The CS driver was driving from lane three and the victim was in lane four," said Sambodo.

"The deceased was hit and hit the guardrail and bounced and was finally hit by the vehicle," he continued.

On the other hand, Sambodo stated that the National Police Chief, General Listiyo Sigit Prabowo, shared his condolences. In fact, to honor the services of Iptu Dwi Setiawan, he was given an award with a promotion.

"The Chief of the National Police and the National Police gave the award to the deceased because he died while carrying out his duties, so he was promoted one level higher to become AKP posthumously," said Sambodo. The reason is because the truck grazed Iptu Dwi Setiawan's motorbike.

The deadly accident began when Iptu Dwi Setiawan was tasked with escorting a group of the Polda Metro Jaya supervision team for activities in Bekasi, this afternoon.

At that time, Iptu Dwi Setiawan tried to direct the truck to move to the slow lane on the left side. However, the truck driver steered the steering wheel to the right and eventually grazed Iptu Dwi Setiawan to death.
