Ahead Of The Medan Pilkada, Loyalist Akhyar Nasution Choose To Leave The PDIP

MEDAN - Akhyar Nasution's loyalist, Ade Darmawan, stated that he left the PDIP. Ade remains a supporter of Akhyar, the Acting Mayor of Medan who wants to advance in the Pilkada.

“Today I officially declare that I am resigning from the PDIP as a member. I am very grateful to my friends in PDIP who have been together, ”said Ade in Medan, Wednesday, July 29.

The chairman of the Baitul Muslimin Indonesia (Bamusi) DPC in Medan did not reveal details about the reasons he decided to leave the PDIP. Ade only emphasized that he had no principle in common with the party.

"We have performed istikharah prayers to resign from the PDIP. It is not in accordance with our conscience, so I declare to resign as members of the PDIP," he continued.

Ade will return the PDIP membership card (KTA). Ade previously also served as Deputy Chairperson of the Medan PDIP DPC.

The internal party ripple in Medan occurred when the PDIP directed its support to Bobby Nasution. Akhyar who wanted to advance for the Medan Pilkada also swerved to seek support from other political parties until he joined Democrats.

"He said he was happy with the Democrats," said Deputy Chairman of the Democratic Election Winning Board (Bappilu), Andi Nurpati, when contacted by VOI, Tuesday, July 28.

Akhyar visited the Democrat elite on June 14. Akhyar expressed his hope of getting support to be promoted in the Medan Pilkada. Despite providing support, Nurpati ensured that his party did not require Akhyar to join as a Democratic cadre.

"If he wants to join the Democrats, it must be his own desire. In many other areas, Democrats provide support from different parties, "he said.
