MADIUN - The investigation team of the Madiun District Attorney's Office (Kejari) summoned the former President Director (Director of the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) Tirta Taman Sari, Madiun City, Bambang Irianto.

Bambang was asked for information on the alleged misappropriation of the budget in the business entity owned by the local government.

The Head of the Special Crimes Section (Pidsus) of the Madiun District Attorney's Office, Toni Wibisono, said that the examination of the former president director of PDAM was a follow-up to the previous legal process. Namely, related to the budget management system at PDAM Madiun City, one of which is the alleged irregularity in the payment of salaries for freelance daily workers (THL) for five years, starting 2017-2021.

"In addition to the former president director, we are also examining a number of other witnesses. So far, 25 people have been questioned. Tomorrow there will be more summons," said Toni Wibisono in Madiun, as reported by Antara, Thursday, October 28.

His party stated that they had not named a suspect in the alleged corruption case this time. This is because the investigative team still needs to collect evidence.

If the evidence is owned, at least the specified conditions have been met, the next step will be to determine the suspect in the case.

"The point is that we continue to examine parties who are witnesses," he said. The Mayor of Madiun, Maidi, was asked for information regarding the alleged corruption case in a business entity owned by the City of Madiun.

"We are following all the ongoing legal processes. We will see later what form the abuse takes," said Mayor Maidi.

His party emphasized that if there are elements of his staff who commit criminal acts of corruption, then strict sanctions await. Even if proven guilty and has permanent legal force, dismissal can be carried out.
