Water Level In Katulampa Dam Rises, Residents Are Asked To Be Alert
BOGOR – Heavy rainfall in the Bogor area has caused the water level of the Ciliwung River at Katulampa Dam, Bogor City to be on standby 3. As of Thursday, October 28, the water has reached a height of 110 centimeters.
Head of the Katulampa Dam, Andi Sudirman, said the water rise was gradual. At 14.00 WIB, the water level was at 90 centimeters, but at 14.12 WIB, it again increased to 110 centimeters.
"Now the water level is 110 centimeters, the status is still on standby 3," said Andi, Thursday, October 28.
Andi still said, there are around 161,000 liters per second of water in the Ciliwung River that crosses the Katulampa Dam. The water is expected to reach the Jakarta area in the next 9-12 hours.
"The weather conditions are still raining," he said.
Meanwhile, the Meteorology Climatology Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early weather warning in the Bogor, Puncak and Cianjur areas. The area has the potential to receive light to heavy rain and residents are asked to be vigilant.
