23 BPJS Medan Employees Are Positive For COVID-19
JAKARTA - The number of employees of BPJS Kesehatan Medan Branch, North Sumatra positive for COVID-19 increased by 9 people. Thus, the total number of positive BPJS employees is 23 people.
"It is true that 23 people are positive for COVID-19. Currently they are self-isolating because they have no symptoms. The employees are known to be infected with the corona virus after a recent mass swab test," said Head of BPJS Kesehatan Medan Branch Sari Quratul Ainy as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 29.
According to him, the employees who were positive were not treated, but were isolated in the hospital because they had no symptoms.
His party is currently conducting a mass swab test for employees because the isolation period for the 9 employees who were previously positive for COVID-19 has ended, and to make sure they are truly negative, a further swab test is carried out.
In this case, Sari admitted that her party coordinated intensely with the Medan City Health Service (Dinkes). He said the coordination had been carried out well, where the handling of employees was regularly monitored and reported to the Medan Health Office on a regular basis.
"We do carry out mass swab tests for employees, the aim is to protect participants who come to the branch office," he said.
Sari said, for the time being, direct service at the BPJS Kesehatan Medan Jalan Karya branch, Karang Berombak sub-district, was stopped until the isolation period was over.
"It is already past the isolation period, but we are still waiting for the results of the swab test this week. After that, only then will it be decided when the direct service (in the office) can be reopened," he said.
