Accusing Islamic Groups Outside LDII Of Kafir, Mosques Purified After Being Used By Other Congregations, MUI Lebak Invites LDII Leaders

LEBAK - The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Lebak Regency studied the teachings of the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute (LDII) to find out the truth of this sect, why it gave rise to pros and cons in the community.

Deputy Chairperson of the Lebak Regency MUI, Ahmad Hudori, said that his party received information that LDII's teachings adhere to emirates. Only the LDII congregation are Muslim, while the other groups are infidels.

In fact, their worship procedures have their own priesthood. If outsiders perform prayers at the LDII mosque then it is not valid. Because, LDII has its own priesthood and only for their group.

"We received information from the public that if outsiders pray in their mosque, it is obligatory to wash the place of worship," he said in Lebak, quoted from Antara, Thursday, October 28.

According to him, his party will invite the leadership of the Lebak Regency LDII to find out the truth of the information from the community.

So far there have been no problems with the presence of the LDII congregation, the situation in Lebak is also conducive. "We hope that the leadership of LDII can meet with MUI Lebak so that they can find out the truth," he said.

Separately, the charismatic cleric of Lebak Regency Hasan Basri said that LDII has now complied with the rules and requirements of the Central MUI and no longer disbelieves in Muslims.

Because, if they disbelieve in Muslims, it will destroy the faith. The LDII teaching, he said, previously had five rules, including priesthood, babytan, jamat, binoatan and pitonatan.

Those LDII congregations in marriage must also keep their teachings secret with their congregations or groups.

"We have visited the leadership of the Central LDII and now LDII is complying with the MUI, including not being allowed to disbelieve in Muslims," he explained.

Meanwhile, Ustadz Duki, a leader of LDII Lebak Regency, said that accusations of information developing in the community about LDII's teachings to disbelieve in Muslims as well as marriages with their group and other people praying in the mosque must be washed, all of which are not true.

People who spread like that, it's been a long time. "Many employees and residents pray Friday here and no washing is done," he said.
