Starting Today, 13 Locations Of Odd-Even Policy Are Active

JAKARTA - The police have begun to take action in the form of ticketing in the odd-even scheme, which has been expanded to 13 points per day. Enforcement is carried out after going through the socialization process.

"Yes, that's right, from today onwards, action will be taken," said Head of Sub-Directorate for Law Enforcement of Traffic Directorate of Metro Jaya Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Argo Wiyono when confirmed, Thursday, October 28.

The socialization process has been carried out for three days. Starting from Monday, October 25 to Wednesday, October 27. One way of socializing is by installing signs regarding the application of odd-even.

On the previous occasion, the Director of Traffic of Metro Jaya Police, Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said that in the expansion of the odd-even area, there was no change in the timing of the implementation of the odd-even scheme, two shifts, namely morning and evening.

"Then the time of application remains valid in the morning and evening from 06.00 to 10.00 western Indonesia time in the morning. Then in the evening or evening from 16.00 to 21.00 western Indonesia time," said Sambodo

In this scheme, violators will be subjected to Article 287 of Law Number 12 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. According to the article, motorists will be subject to a maximum fine of Rp500,000.
