Police Investigate 2 Teenagers Killed Due To Illegal Alcohol In Tasikmalaya
TASIKMALAYA - Tasikmalaya Police, West Java investigated the case of adulterated liquor mixed with alcohol and energy drinks in Taraju District. As a result of bootleg liquor, two teenagers died, and three other people were treated.
"We have examined witnesses from the families of the victims, two people died, two others we can still interrogate," said Tasikmalaya Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, AKP Dian Purnomo, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 27.
The police previously received reports of residents who died after consuming alcoholic beverages or alcoholic beverages with energy drinks in Taraju District, Monday, October 25. The police then investigated the scene.
"At the TKP we secured some evidence, there were alcohol bottles, teapots, glasses, and used energy drink sachets," he said.
Currently, the police are still collecting other evidence and are also asking for more complete information from the families of the victims who died as well as asking for information from victims who are being treated at the hospital.
His party has not been able to determine who should be responsible for the incident, considering those who are being treated admit that the alcohol was purchased online.
"They buy online via an application, he buys alcohol," he said.
The victims who died after consuming bootleg liquor were the initials TE (15) and AL (17) residents of Purwarahayu Village, Taraju District. While those who are still undergoing treatment are the initials YUK (18), HER (16), and WE (14).
"His health condition is still weak, there are a total of five people, the latest information that we interviewed are being treated at the SMC Hospital, and one is being treated at his home," he said.
