From A Million To 5 Million Is Depok City Government Tired Money For Papuan PON Athletes

JAKARTA - 17 Depok City athletes representing West Java (Jabar) Province at the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) in 2021 were invited to the City Hall. They want to be given appreciation from the Depok City Government and Bank BJB.

The appreciation was in the form of giving tired money as a form of the City Government's concern for the struggle of Depok athletes who competed in PON Papua.

"We give a little money for fatigue. Because the budget for kadeudeuh money is refocused in line with the surge in COVID-19 cases, but it has been budgeted for next year," promised Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris in the Depok City Hall 1st floor hall, Wednesday, October 27.

Although the amount of money given is not large, it is hoped that it can pump up the athletes' enthusiasm to continue to improve their abilities. For athletes who won gold medals, they received Rp. 5 million, silver medals of Rp. 4 million, and bronze medals of Rp. 3 million.

Athletes who don't get medals are also given tired money because they have fought in XX PON in Papua.

"Even though we didn't get a medal, we still gave Rp. 2 million tired money," he said.

The city of Depok sent 17 athletes to the biggest national sporting event in Indonesia. From the event, Depok City athletes successfully donated 5 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze for the West Java contingent.
