Bandung City Government Records Positive Cases From Face-to-Face Learning Increases To 117
BANDUNG - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) recorded the number of positive cases of COVID-19 from schools that carried out face-to-face learning (PTM) increased to 117 people.
The Daily Chair of the Bandung City COVID-19 Task Force, Ema Sumarna, said that 117 people who were positive for the corona virus were obtained from random tests.
As a result, he said, PTM in 22 schools was stopped and returned to the distance learning system (PJJ).
"We have to be committed and consistent with the regulations. Once the case is above five percent, the school will automatically have to stop temporarily. Meanwhile, because there is an opportunity to run it later if everything is under control," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 27. .
According to Ema, the number of schools that will be affected by the termination of PTM has the potential to increase.
He explained that this was because of the consequences of efforts to track and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
"Because we still have to pursue the health of the teaching staff and the students we love," he said.
Ema said of the 117 people who were confirmed positive, none had severe to critical symptoms.
Even so, the COVID-19 Task Force ordered the Health Office to continue to do the best possible handling.
In addition to handling, according to him, the Health Office will continue to ensure that it monitors the 100 people until they are again tested negative for COVID-19.
"Well, if it's back to normal, we'll return it again, PTM is running again," said Ema.
