Intercepted At Cikampek Toll Road, 2 Expeditionary Truck Thieves Arrested While Carrying Stolen Cars
JAKARTA - Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Metro Police, Kompol Haris Akhmad, gave a statement regarding the arrest of two perpetrators of theft of an expedition truck.
Kompol Haris explained that the arrests of K (45) and S (36), were carried out in the Cikampek Toll Road area towards Indramayu, West Java. The two suspects are residents of Central Java, he was arrested by Highway Patrol officers (PJR) under the coordination of the Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
"The stolen truck was taken away to West Java, they were going to Indramayu," Kanit told VOI, Wednesday, October 27.
Kanit suspects that the suspects have a network in Indramayu. The reason is, after successfully stealing, they immediately moved towards Central Java via the Pantura route.
The two suspects were arrested along with evidence of the stolen expedition box truck. The two suspects were handed over to the Tanah Abang Metro Police Headquarters.
"The investigation process is already underway. We have detained two suspects with the initials K and S," said Kanit.
From the results of the investigation, one of the suspects is a recidivist. The two suspects are specialists in box truck theft.
"The game was (stealing) in Jakarta. Previously, the crime scene was not far from the Tanah Abang area. (The suspect) had the intention to go there (Indramayu), it is strongly suspected that there were parties who became his network there," he said.
As a result of their actions, the two suspects are Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with weights.
As previously reported, the Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to apprehend K (45) and S (36), two suspects in the theft of a truck belonging to an expedition service. The theft took place in the parking lot of an Expeditionary Office, Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
