U-16 National Team Ready To Improve Performance In The Second TC On August 9
JAKARTA - The U-16 national team only drew 0-0 against the Bina Taruna U-18 team in a trial match at the Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, Tuesday, July 28. Furthermore, Bima Sakti coach's squad will return to undergo training camp (TC) starting on 9 August.
"The plan is that on August 9 we will gather again," Bima said, quoted from Antara, Wednesday.
The U-16 national team TC next month will still be carried out with the COVID-19 prevention health protocol, such as the first TC in the midst of a pandemic that will take place July 6-29.
Bima is targeting the U-16 national team to undergo optimal training with increased intensity. Because, reflecting on the TC in July, the U-16 national team practically only trained normally in the field for about a week.
The rest, the players do more training aimed at physical adaptation. This is because the TC in July was held after approximately three months the squad was closed at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We were cut for about two weeks. Yesterday we did a lot of individual training such as circuit training. Only one week of normal training as usual," said Bima.
For the TC in August, the Milky Way did not call up a player who was 100 percent the same as the 26 players in the previous TC.
"We are again determining who will be summoned to the August TC," said the Indonesian national team tactician at the 2018 AFF Cup.
U-16 national team midfielder Muhammad Valeron emphasized that he would show better performance if he returned to the squad to undergo TC during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Hopefully the TC in the next month will be better. I myself have no difficulty undergoing TC with health protocols," said Valeron.
The U-16 national team TC was carried out in preparation for competing in the 2020 U-16 Asian Cup on 25 November-12 December 2020 in Bahrain.
