Wife Wants Tyson Fury To Retire While Still At The Top Of Career
JAKARTA - Tyson Fury successfully defeated Deontay Wilder in the third and final fight of their trilogy some time ago. Although she plans to step into the ring before 2021 is over, Fury's wife, Paris, has revealed when her husband will retire.
His wife believes Fury will only fight for a few more years. The reason is, she prefers to see her husband hang up his gloves when he is still at the peak of his career.
"I know Wladimir (Klitschko) and the other fighters are 40 years old, but do you keep fighting until you lose?" Paris Fury told talkSPORT Breakfast.
"I don't know, I don't want to see Tyson like that. I don't want him to keep fighting and there will always be someone younger and fresher if you are at the peak of your career, too far away.
"I just thought maybe another two or three years and then Tyson would definitely have to hang up his gloves."
Paris goes on to claim that none of their children currently want to follow in their father's footsteps and pursue a career in boxing.
"Right now it seems none of them want to be boxers, my eldest son wants to wrestle, my eldest daughter says she wants to dance, now she wants to run her own business."
"Little kids are just babies. I don't think I would like watching them box at all. I've watched Tyson since I was a teenager and he's always dominated the fight.
"But to see someone get in the ring and get hit and it's your kid, I can't imagine that. And my daughters, I just think they're too soft to box.
"I think that day will definitely come. We have six (children), for sure one of them will do it, but I don't know what it will be like."
