BNN Thwarts The Smuggling Of Hundreds Of Kg Of Sabu In Corn Sacks

JAKARTA - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has revealed an attempt to smuggle hundreds of kilograms of crystal methamphetamine by hiding in a sack filled with corn. The crystal methamphetamine in corn sacks was brought from the island of Sumatra.

Deputy for the Eradication of BNN, Inspector General Arman Depari, explained that there were 6 people who smuggled methamphetamine. The perpetrators brought methamphetamine using a truck from Lampung.

"The drugs were brought from Lampung by a large truck hidden in a sack filled with corn," said Arman in his statement, Tuesday, July 28.

This smuggling was thwarted on Jalan Prabu Siliwangi, Tangerang City. The BNN team will still confirm the exact weight of the shabu smuggled.

"Evidence for the type of crystal methamphetamine has not been counted with certainty but is estimated to be hundreds of kilograms," he said.
