Trigana Air Plane Skidded In Papua
JAKARTA - The PK-YSZ Trigana Air plane skidded at Wamena Airport, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua. The cause of the plane's slip was investigated by the National Transportation Safety Committee (NTSC).
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Kombes Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, explained that the Trigana Air plane skidded at around 07.37 WIT, Tuesday, July 28.
"The plane had an incident, when landing the body tilted to the left, causing the left wing to hit the runway," said Kamal in a written statement received by VOI.
Even though it slipped, the plane could still land and park at Apron 1 at Wamena Airport. After the incident, the airport authority conducted a check involving the KNKT.
"The cause of the plane's derailing is still being investigated by the NTSC," continued Kamal.
As a result of slipping, the left wing of the plane with 4 crew was damaged. The four crew members were brought to Wamena Regional Hospital to check their health condition.
