Wins 2021 Public Information Openness Award, Vice President Ma'ruf Messages BKKBN To Continue Innovating
JAKARTA - The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) has again received a public information disclosure award from the Central Information Commission for the category of Informative State Institutions and Non-Ministerial Government Institutions in 2021. The BKKBN received a score of 94.65.
The award for public information disclosure was carried out online, Tuesday, October 26, attended by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Chairman of the Central Information Commission, Gede Narayana. Meanwhile present from the BKKBN, Main Secretary Tavip Agus Rayanto.
“This award is a good opportunity for public bodies to continue to create innovations. The management of public information disclosure is carried out to encourage public participation in order to realize good and transparent governance," said Ma'ruf as quoted from the BKKBN press release, Tuesday night.
Through this award, continued Ma'ruf, it is hoped that it will become a means of introspection for public bodies to continue to maintain and improve the performance of public services and their productivity even during the pandemic.
Indonesia guarantees the rights of citizens to obtain information. The state, government and public bodies must continue to maintain public trust. Invigorate the spirit of openness and accountability of information.
The Public Information Disclosure Assessment consists of five categories, namely, informative for public bodies that get a score of 90-100, towards informative with a score of 80-89.9, quite informative 60-79.9, less informative 40-59.9 and not informative less of 39.9.
Head of the Central Information Commission Gede Narayana explained that this year's informative category of public bodies has increased from the number of 60 public bodies in 2020.
This shows that public information disclosure in Indonesia leads to improved management and service of public information as mandated by Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning public information disclosure.
The 2021 Public Openness Award was obtained from the examination of 337 public bodies. With the results of the informative category Public Bodies amounted to 83 public bodies. Towards informative 63, moderately informative, 54, less informative, 37 and not informative, 100 public bodies.
