2 North Nias Residents Slashed While Working Together To Build New Roads, 1 Person Dies
MEDAN - Two residents of Banua Sibohou III Village, Alasa Talumuzoi District, North Nias Regency, North Sumatra, were persecuted. As a result, one person died from a sharp weapon stab wound.
The victim who died was Ramisokhi Zebua alias Ama Yanu (61). Meanwhile, Yason Zebua alias Ama Desi (31) suffered an injury to his left wrist.
The Nias Police Public Relations Subdivision (Paur) officer, Aiptu Yadsen F Hulu, said that both of them were persecuted by MZ alias Gainu (26), a resident of Tuhegafoa Dua Village, Hiliduho District.
The persecution occurred when the victim was working together to open a new path. The victim and the perpetrator got into an argument.
"The perpetrator pulled out a machete that was sheathed in his right waist and slashed the machete at the victim," said Aiptu Yadsen in a statement received on Tuesday, October 26.
When the perpetrator swung the machete, the slash hit the victim's left wrist, Yason Zebua alias Ama Desi (31).
Victim Jason along with other residents ran. Meanwhile, the victim Ramisokhi Zebua alias Ama Yanu (61) remained at the location.
As a result, the victim Ramisokhi died from a stab wound to the back of the neck. After slashing the victim, the perpetrator immediately fled. The incident was immediately reported to the Alasa Police by the Head of Banua Sibohou III Village.
"The motive is still under investigation. The culprit is being chased," said Aiptu Yadsen F Hulu.
