Roy Suryo Remembers Sudi Silalahi's Figure: He Was A Good Person, Always Advised Me
JAKARTA - Former Minister of Youth and Sports Roy Suryo mourned the death of the Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Sudi Silalahi due to illness.
"Hopefully (the deceased) will be accepted by Allah SWT," said Roy Suryo on the sidelines of Sudi Silalahi's funeral at TMP Kalibata, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 26.
Roy Suryo recalled that Sudi Silalahi was a good person. Sudi Silalahi said Roy, was one of the people who always gave input and advised him.
"He is a good person and always gives advice. I used to have a lot of input from Mr. Sudi when I was at the Ministry of Sports. For example, the minister must be straight, must be trustworthy," said Roy Suryo.
According to Roy Suryo, thanks to the guidance and input of the late Sudi Silalahi, everything that was done went well.
"I remember a lot of input from Mr. Sudi Silalahi," said Roy.
Sudi Silalahi is known to have died at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital on Monday, October 25 at around 23.50 WIB. Sudi Silalahi died due to illness.
Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Sudi Silalahi was born July 13, 1949. He was Minister of State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia from October 22, 2009 to October 20, 2014, in the era of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Previously he served as Cabinet Secretary.
Sudi graduated from the Akabri in 1972 and ended his military career with the rank of Lieutenant General. He was Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's secretary when Yudhoyono was serving as Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs under Megawati Soekarnoputri's government.
