Social Minister Risma Invites Graduates Of Poltekesos Bandung: Let's Solve Social Problems In Our Country
JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini advised graduates of the Bandung Social Welfare Polytechnic (Poltekesos) to be able to solve social problems that exist in the community.
"Social problems are many and difficult to solve, so therefore, with the knowledge that you have obtained, let's solve the social problems that exist in our country," said Social Minister Risma in her speech at the graduation of Poltekesos graduates as in a written statement received at Jakarta, reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 26.
A total of 364 Poltekesos students graduated from Bandung, consisting of 18 graduates from the Social Work Study Program, the Applied Masters Program and 346 graduates from the Social Work Study Program, the Applied Undergraduate Program.
On that occasion, he asked Poltekesos graduates to be able to solve problems by thinking innovatively and collaborating.
The Minister of Social Affairs also invited Poltekesos graduates to understand Revolution 4.0 or 5.0. According to him, this revolution has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, especially with regard to changes in the way people think, live, and patterns of social relations.
Moreover, the challenges in social welfare development are very complex and dynamic.
The Minister of Social Affairs gave an example, when he asked his staff to be able to create electronic wheelchairs for those needing Social Welfare Services (PPKS) who have severe disabilities who cannot be helped with just an ordinary wheelchair.
Furthermore, Risma said that graduation is not the end but the beginning of a real challenge. She shared her experience and motivation to encourage graduates who will start working for the nation and state, so that later they can become successful and beneficial people for those around them.
"This is not the end but this is the beginning for you. We are required to be the best for ourselves and for the nation and state. In the future, you are required from a social science perspective to dedicate yourself to our beloved nation," he said.
