Gatot Nurmantyo Recalls The Mandatory Question When Meeting People, 'Have You Prayed Yet?'
JAKARTA - The body of the late Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Sudi Silalahi was carried out militarily. The body was brought from Babussalam Mosque after being prayed.
The handover of the body was carried out by the family to the government, represented by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
"Submission of the body. I on behalf of the family handed over the body of the late Lieutenant General TNI (ret) H. Sudi Silalahi to the government for burial at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery (TMP) with a military ceremony," said one family to the ceremony inspector, Tuesday, October 26. TNI troops also escorted the handover of the bodies.
"I am Pramono Anung Wibowo, who holds the position of cabinet secretary on behalf of the state, nation and the TNI to receive the body of the late Lieutenant General TNI (ret) H. Sudi Silalahi," he said while leading the departing of the body.
Sudi Silalahi was buried militarily at TMP Kalibata.
"Furthermore, I will send the body of the deceased to his burial place at TMP Kalibata for military burial," he said.
In the ceremony to depart the body of the late Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Sudi Silalahi, TNI General (Ret.) Gatot Nurmantyo was also present. He also remembers the late deceased during his life.
"Incidentally, he is both a former Commander of the Brawijaya Regional Military Command. As far as I remember, everyone facing him (the deceased) was asked. Have you prayed yet? If not, pray first. I hope he is khusnul khotimah," he briefly told VOI at Babussalam Mosque.
Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Sudi Silalahi was born July 13, 1949. He was Minister of State Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia from October 22, 2009 to October 20, 2014, in the era of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Previously he served as Cabinet Secretary.
Sudi graduated from the Akabri in 1972 and ended his military career with the rank of Lieutenant General. He was the secretary of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono while he was the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs under Megawati Soekarnoputri's government.
