ICC Center Of Entrepreneurship Launched In Jakarta, Prepares Next Generation Of Business Leaders In Asia
JAKARTA - Indonesia's economy is built on 64 million SMEs which includes millions of home industries and micro-entrepreneurs. Indonesia is also promoting investment cooperation with SMEs to create mutual fortune in a strong supply chain, by implementing several strategies, mainly through investment in business profiles, promotion and advocacy.
Therefore, SMEs need ecosystem support to become the backbone of Indonesia's innovation in the future. ICC in collaboration with ICC Indonesia launched the ICC Center of Entrepreneurship for the Asia Pacific region in Jakarta.
This launch is prepared to inspire innovation and improve the business environment for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the ASEAN region. With the presence of the ICC Center of Entrepreneurship, it is hoped that it can play an integral role in developing Indonesian entrepreneurship into the era of digitalization and globalization.
John WH Denton AO, ICC Secretary General, ICC Headquarter said, "We are very pleased to be joining ICC Indonesia to launch the newest ICC Center of Entrepreneurship in Jakarta.

The ICC Center of Entrepreneurship - Jakarta Hub will also work closely with stakeholders, including businesses, national chambers of commerce, local chambers of commerce, academic institutions, international companies and government agencies, to connect local entrepreneurs to global markets.
From developing the skills of young people to deal with uncertain job prospects to fostering local startups as well as local entrepreneurs, digitizing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and fostering inclusive entrepreneurs, the ICC Center of Entrepreneurship aims to prepare the next generation of business leaders in Asia.
The Center of Entrepreneurship will be a catalyst among stakeholders to address the structural challenges facing developed and emerging markets. By bringing together thinking leaders, businesses and entrepreneurs. The Center of Entrepreneurship will create a thriving professional community devoted to bringing their innovative ideas to life.
Since 2020, ICC has launched several regional centers ICC Center of Entrepreneurship to provide specialized training, mentoring and support services to help entrepreneurs build, fund, manage and expand their start-ups.
The first regional ICC Center of Entrepreneurship was launched in Istanbul in early 2020 to serve the Central Asia region and the Caucus and was followed in October 2020 by another regional center in Beirut to serve the Arab region.
In September 2021, ICC launched the ICC-ECA Center of Entrepreneurship to serve the African region and was followed by another regional center in Buenos Aires to serve the Latin America region in early October 2021.
