Prone To Corruption, Kejari Karawang Asks Village Head To Be Careful In Managing Village Funds

KARAWANG - The District Attorney for Karawang, West Java reminded village heads to pay attention to the management of village funds. Because, so far it is prone to corruption.

"Village funds, whose value is quite high, can reach billions of rupiah, are quite vulnerable to being misused," said Head of the Karawang District Attorney's Office, Martha Parulina, in Karawang, Antara, Monday, October 25.

For this he said that all village officials in the Karawang area were careful in managing village funds.

According to him, village funds must be managed transparently, starting from planning, preparing RAB, implementation, payment or disbursement of activity budgets, reporting to accountability.

"So basically, village officials in managing village funds must be done as well as possible so that there are no violations of the law," he said.

He admitted that so far there is still fear from village officials in using village funds.

"This concern arises because there are still many village officials who do not understand the legal rules in managing village funds," said Kajari.

For this matter, the prosecutor's office is currently intensifying socialization or counseling and legal information regarding the management of village funds to all village officials in the Karawang area.
