Private Employee Killed By Robbery In Cakung
JAKARTA - A private employee died after being stabbed by a gang of motorbike robbers around the Cakung gas station, East Jakarta. The incident occurred when the victim named Sigit (25) was about to leave for work from his home in Kayu Tinggi, Cakung, East Jakarta. Wati (23) the victim's wife, confirmed what happened to her husband. Her husband died after being stabbed by a sharp weapon.
"Yes, my husband was robbed, I don't know exactly where it happened," said Wati when contacted by reporters, Monday, October 25.
Meanwhile, according to DN's statement, another victim's family said that the incident started when the victim was about to go to work and refuel. The victim was riding a Vespa type motorbike.
"So the information is that the victim ran out of gas, then someone called. Well, at that time the victim was attacked. His hand was almost severed and his intestines were swayed," said the man, who did not want to give his real name.
Currently, the victim's body is still at the Police Hospital, East Jakarta for an autopsy. The victim is known to have two small children.
"They have two children, one is 5 years old and the other is 1 year old. The motorbike is a Vespa, which is also stolen," he said.
Confirmed separately, the Cakung Police Chief, Kompol Satria, confirmed the occurrence of a robbery. Currently, members of the Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit are still conducting examinations and gathering evidence.
"We are still investigating the statements of witnesses, members are still pursuing them," he said.
