Menpan RB Reminds ASN KPK Must Have Morals

JAKARTA - The Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo reminded all employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) who are the state civil apparatus (ASN), must apply basic values or core values of morality.

"The basic values of ASN have character, namely Service Oriented, Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive and Collaborative," said Tjahjo as quoted by Antara, Seenin, October 25.

This was conveyed by Tjahjo Kumolo when giving a briefing at the closing of the orientation for KPK ASN employees at the Jakarta State Administration Agency (LAN) Office, Monday.

KPK employees who have now joined the ASN, continued Tjahjo, must participate in uniforming the basic values that are the same as all ASN in Indonesia.

So that the core values of morality can be the foundation of a professional ASN work culture, especially in efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia, he stressed.

"This learning experience can also be used in responding to changes in the strategic environment for eradicating corruption with all its dynamics, to support the achievement of development targets and good governance," he explained.

In addition to implementing the basic values of morality, Tjahjo encourages ASN to remain professional and productive in carrying out their duties as public servants, especially in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.

ASN must also be able to apply new ways, as a form of bureaucratic survival ability in improving the performance of public services in the midst of demands for change in times of uncertainty.

The orientation of ASN KPK employees is held based on Government Regulation Number 41 of 2020 concerning Transfer of Employees of the Corruption Eradication Commission.

The PP states that KPK employees who have become ASNs are required to attend orientation in the context of debriefing as ASN organized by LAN in collaboration with the KPK.

The orientation activity is an effort to develop competence as well as provide orientation for KPK employees as ASN.

Competencies developed in this orientation include knowledge and understanding of national development system policies, government organizational management policies and personnel HR management policies.

It was recorded that 1,289 KPK employees who took part in the orientation were declared passed, with a record that 23 of them passed with one improvement and another 1,266 passed in one evaluation.
