8 Beaters Up To One Death Arrested, Big Bamboo And Stones Become Evidence

CIREBON - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the Cirebon Police, West Java, arrested eight perpetrators of the persecution that resulted in the victim's death and two other serious injuries.

"We have arrested eight people, two of whom are minors," said Cirebon Police Chief Kombes Arif Budiman, quoted by Antara, Monday, October 25.

Arif said the eight people who were arrested with the initials IP, MI, SH, MK, ML, IK, M and S, were residents of Jungjang Village, Arjawinangun District, Cirebon Regency.

The eight suspects, continued Arif, were proven to have beaten two people, which resulted in serious injuries, and another died.

The beating was motivated by the unrest of residents who were sitting on the side of the road, then there was a group of people riding motorbikes making noise and making noise.

"Then after the group of people left, it turned out that there were three people who were riding and allegedly part of them, then they were immediately persecuted," he said.

Arif said the victim suffered injuries to his head and body due to the blunt object he received.

The police, said Arif, confiscated several pieces of evidence such as pieces of bamboo used to carry out the persecution, then stones, as well as the clothes worn by the victim.

"As a result of his actions, the eight suspects are subject to Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a maximum threat of seven years in prison," he said.
