The Case Of Beating Members Of The Indonesian Air Force In Medan, The Police Appoint 1 Suspect
MEDAN - Police have named one suspect in the case of beating members of the Indonesian Air Force in Medan, North Sumatra. The perpetrator with the initials AA was detained at the Medan Police Headquarters.
Meanwhile, five other people who had been arrested were eventually returned to the police.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Medan Polrestabes Kompol Rafles Marpaung when confirmed by reporters, explained that after an investigation was carried out, the 5 people who had been arrested were not proven to have beaten.
"The five of them have been returned to their families," said Kompol Rafles, Monday, October 25.
However, Kompol Rafles said that his party had arrested a man with the initials AA, who was suspected of beating TNI members.
"Yes, it's true that one person was arrested," said Rafles.
From the examination, AA also beat the victim for joining in and when the beating occurred, he suspected that the TNI member was a fake.
Rafles continued that apart from AA, the police are also pursuing other perpetrators of the beating. Against the suspect, the police charged him with Article 170 or Article 351 of the Criminal Code.
Previously, a member of the Indonesian Air Force became the victim of the beating of a number of people in the Kelambir Lima area, Medan Helvetia.
The news about the acts of persecution experienced by members of the Indonesian Air Force was conveyed by the Head of Medan Police, Kombes Riko Sunarko, to reporters, Wednesday, October 20.
"Last night we received submissions related to reports from Indonesian Air Force colleagues, last night (Tuesday, 19 October 2021) a colleague was ganged up on," he said.
The Medan Police Chief said that his party who received this information together with personnel from the Indonesian Air Force conducted a search.
