Two Buses Collision, Transjakarta Promises To Provide Assistance To Victims Treated In Hospitals

JAKARTA - PT Transport Jakarta (Transjakarta) Operations Director Prasetia Budi said his party would provide assistance to victims of the Transjakarta accident.

This morning, two Transjakarta buses belonging to the Bianglala Metropolitan operator with body numbers BMP 211 and BMP 240 had an accident while crossing Jalan MT Haryono, East Jakarta.

"In the process of handling in the field, we coordinate directly with the Polda Metro Jaya. Our officers continue to accompany the victims, from the evacuation process to the treatment at the hospital and ensure they get the best service," said Prasetia in a statement, Monday, October 25.

Prasetia explained, currently all victims have been taken to the nearest hospital to get further help.

Meanwhile, the two bus fleets suffered serious damage such as broken windshields, shattered front and rear bodies of the buses and broken bus side windows.

"Both fleets have been secured from the location. The lane has also been immediately cleaned by our officers so that the bus fleet can already be crossed and can serve customers normally again, "said Prasetia.

Currently, the investigation process is still being carried out by the authorities. Prasetia admitted that Transjakarta is ready to help smooth the investigation process carried out cooperatively.

"On behalf of the entire management and Transjakarta extended family, I express my deepest condolences and pray for the victims to recover quickly and be given courage for the families of the victims who died," he said.

For information, the accident of two TransJakarta buses occurred on Monday, October 25, early in the morning. As a result of the accident 39 people became victims. Where, two of them died. The remaining 37 suffered minor and serious injuries.
