Legitimate! President Jokowi Inaugurates 17 Indonesian Ambassadors, Including Fadjroel And Rosan

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially inaugurated 17 Indonesian Ambassadors at the State Palace today or Monday, October 25.

This inauguration activity was held at 09.15 WIB and was attended by President Jokowi and his deputy, Ma'ruf Amin. Then, there were also a number of ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet, such as Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.

In the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, the event began by singing the anthem Indonesia Raya. Furthermore, Deputy for Apparatus Administration Nanik Purwanti read out Presidential Decree Number 127b of 2021 concerning the Appointment of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia.

There were 17 people who were appointed as Indonesian Ambassadors, they were Fadjroel Rachman as the Indonesian Ambassador to Kazakhstan and the Republic of Tajikistan; Abdul Aziz for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concurrently with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC); Dewi Tobing for Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives; Bebeb AK Djundjunan For the Greek Republic; and Lena Maryana Mukti for Kuwait.

After the decree was read out, President Jokowi then led the swearing-in ceremony for the dozens of ambassadors.

"Before I take the oath regarding the appointment of you as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to friendly countries, I will first ask you. Are you willing to take an oath according to your respective religion?" Jokowi asked before taking the oath.

"Willing," said the 17 ambassadors.

After taking the oath, Jokowi, accompanied by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, then congratulated the inaugurated ambassadors, including Fadjroel and Rosan Roeslani.
