KPK Explores The Role Of Inactive Banjarnegara Regent Budhi Sarwono Regarding The Implementation Of Infrastructure Project Auctions

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is exploring the role of the inactive Banjarnegara Regent Budhi Sarwono regarding the implementation of infrastructure project auctions in his area. This was done by examining six people from the private sector on Friday, October 22.

Acting Spokesperson for KPK's Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri said the six witnesses were examined as witnesses for Budhi Sarwono et al, who are suspects in this case.

"Located at the BPKP Representative Building for Central Java Province, Semarang, the investigation team has examined a number of witnesses for BS and friends," Ali told reporters, Monday, October 25.

The six witnesses who were presented for questioning were Imam Naf'an as sub-labor for housing work, Dwi Lingga Setiawan as Director of CV Berkah Abadi, Ari Subagyo as Director of PT Buton Tirto Baskoro, Zainal Arifin as Director of CV Akbar, Aris Budiyanto (private sector), and Kusno Wahyudi as Director of CV Kusno Banjarnegara.

"The witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, related to the participation of the witnesses in various projects implemented by the Banjarnegara Regency Government and the alleged role of the suspect BS et al in the implementation process to determining the winner of the auction," said Ali.

During the investigation, the KPK also scheduled an examination of the Commissioner of PT Dieng Persada Nusantara, Firman Hartoyuwono. However, he was not present so investigators will reschedule.

"Currently, the investigative team is still completing the case file for the suspect BS et al," said Ali.

As previously reported, Banjarnegara Regent Budhi was named a suspect along with Kedy Afandi (KA) who was the former head of his success team during the election. He is suspected of receiving a commitment fee of around Rp. 2.1 billion from contractors who want to get projects in his area.

Not only asking for a fee commitment, Budhi was also named a suspect because he played an active role in the implementation of the infrastructure work auction. The KPK suspects that he was directly involved in distributing the work packages at the PUPR Service, including family companies, and arranging the auction winners.

Meanwhile, Kedy is always monitored and directed by Budhi, especially when making arrangements for the division of work. This is intended so that companies affiliated with him and incorporated in the Bumi Redjo group can splash out on procurement projects.
