Kijang Car Collisions With Truck At Jalinsum Jambi, 5 People Killed
JAKARTA - A fatal collision occurred in Jambi between a Toyota Kijang minibus, a Colt diesel truck. As a result of the accident, 5 people died.
Eyewitnesses said that the Kijang car traveling from Bungo to Padang collided with a truck on Jalan Lintas Sumatra (Jalinsum) Jambi KM 17, Tanah District.
The truck driver and passengers are safe. The driver and passenger of the Kijang car were killed.
Bungo Police Chief, AKBP Guntur Saputro when confirmed confirmed the fatal accident on the Sumatra Jambi highway, precisely in Embacang Village.
"Five people died including the driver and four passengers of the deer," he said, quoted by Antara, Sunday, October 24.
Guntur said the accident started when the deer took the right lane to Padang, but suddenly came from the opposite direction of the truck.
Because the two cars were close together, they collided and Jijang's car was destroyed. While the truck wrecked.
"The driver and passengers of the diesel colt truck are safe on behalf of Ridwan and Padri Hendra, residents of Tabek Patah Salimpang or Tanah Datar, West Sumatra," said Guntur.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Kijang car with the initials RN (36), died along with four passengers namely, HM 56 years old and MA (67 years old).
"Two other passengers died with the initials RO 27 years old and one child with the initials JSM, 1.5 years old and also became victims of the collision," said AKBP Guntur.
Two vehicles have been taken to the Bungo Police along with the driver and truck passengers for inspection at the Traffic Traffic Unit. Police remind motorists to always be careful when driving.
