Ganjar Pranowo Visits Bung Karno's Tomb, After Rejecting Comments On The Presidential Candidate Survey
BLITAR - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo refused to comment on his electability, who is often in the top position in a number of survey institutions regarding the 2024 Presidential Election.
"What survey. I'm from Semeru, saw Orchids stop by here," he said after a pilgrimage to the grave of Indonesia's first President Soekarno in Bendogerit Village, Sanan Wetan District, Blitar City, East Java, quoted by Antara, Sunday, October 24.
Not discussing the survey, Ganjar Pranowo then appreciated the care carried out by the Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini in the religious tourism area of Bung Karno's tomb. With maintenance and additional facilities, of course, this location is more attractive and clean.
"Better, cleaner. Everyone can also take care, so that those who come to pray are calm," he said
Ganjar also emphasized that he did not make an appointment with the Minister of Social Affairs at Bung Karno's grave. He just had an activity at the foot of Mount Semeru, so after he finished he stopped at Bung Karno's grave in Blitar.
Previously, a survey conducted by the Kompas Litbang survey agency showed that Prabowo Subianto and Ganjar Pranowo had the same percentage of electability in the survey of presidential candidates for the 2024 election.
However, the Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP Hasto Kristiyanto said that the benchmark for becoming a state leader was not determined by the survey results.
"If we look at the survey, it illustrates when the survey was conducted. The benchmark of a leader for the nation and state is not solely determined by surveys," said Hasto.
Meanwhile, Ganjar's presence at Bung Karno's grave also caught the attention of pilgrims and sympathizers. They were scrambling to get close, but because they had to keep their distance, the residents respected it and had dialogue from afar.
Ganjar also had a chance to meet the Minister of Social Affairs who happened to be at the location of Bung Karno's grave. The two had a brief dialogue in the public place before finally Ganjar headed to the location of Bung Karno's tomb and the Minister of Social Affairs again monitored the maintenance of the facilities in the tomb area.
At the grave site, Ganjar and his entourage prayed and then sowed flowers. He also had time to go to the location of the mosque in the tomb area, to the location of the resting place and then left the tomb location.
