Bobby Nasution Went Down Directly To Jalan Nippon Medan, Which Residents Complained About Being Damaged Due To Being Crossed By A Large Truck

MEDAN - Complaints from residents of Jalan Nippon Paya Pasir Village, Medan Marelan District regarding the damaged and muddy road conditions due to being crossed by high-tonnage trucks were responded to by the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution.

Bobby Nasution immediately went to the truck warehouse in the Jalan Nippon area, Sunday, October 24. The arrival of President Jokowi's son-in-law was even greeted by a demonstration by residents who requested that trucks not pass on the road because it makes the road always damaged.

At the truck warehouse he visited, Bobby had a dialogue with the residents. Because they were already emotional, the residents who had a dialogue with Bobby Nasution spoke in a high tone.

But Bobby calmly answered every citizen's complaint. Residents who demonstrated asking that trucks no longer pass in the area where they live were also visited by Bobby Nasution.

Residents closed the road so that trucks could not pass. On the other hand, these trucks carry logistics which also play an important role in economic turnover.

"So I met with residents, both those in truck warehouses and residents who demonstrated because they didn't want trucks to pass on Jalan Nippon. The point is we have to find a win-win solution. The community must remain safe, welfare must remain. We have to think about that , investment in Medan must also be considered," said Bobby Nasution.

With good coordination, Bobby Nasution is optimistic that an agreement can be reached regarding the problems on Jalan Nippon.

"We Medan residents are used to getting along, we are used to mutual cooperation, collaboration. I am sure that a mutual agreement can be reached," he continued.

From the meeting with the residents, Bobby Nasution said that the median road for Nippon is about 700 meters long and will be widened.

Meanwhile, Plt Kadis PU Medan Fery Ichsan said his party would budget for the widening of Jalan Nippon next year.

"Next year we will budget for the widening of Jalan Nippon, which is approximately 700 meters long, which is what the residents asked for because it is rather narrow. So we will make a cover box in the middle to make the road wider," said Fery.

Bobby Nasution also ordered the Medan Transportation Service to immediately make a sign in front of the school to create a School Safety Zone on the road.
