Putri Kusuma Wardani Wins Czech Open 2021

JAKARTA - Indonesian young badminton player, Putri Kusuma Wardani, emerged as the champion of the 2021 Czech Open badminton tournament after defeating Siti Nurshuhaini from Malaysia, with a score of 21-16, 21-5 in the final match.

This 2021 Czech Open title is the second title for KW Women at the senior level after in May 2021 the 19-year-old badminton successfully won her first title at the senior level at the Spain Masters 2021 tournament.

Launching Antara, Sunday, October 24, Putri KW performed very impressively at the Czech Open 2021. Since the first round, the badminton player who was born in Tangerang, Banten, has never lost a single game because she always wins in straight sets.

Prior to the final, Putri KW defeated Rachel Chan of Canada two straight games in the semifinals. Previously, in the quarter-finals, Putri KW eliminated the second seed from Singapore, Yue Yann Jaslyn Hooi.

In the final, Putri KW, who was seeded in 8th place, was technically still above Siti Nurshuhaini, both in terms of field control and hitting maturity. The combination of Putri KW's lob and dropshot looks very difficult for the Malaysian badminton player.

Had a little resistance in the first game from Siti Nurshuhaini, the rest throughout the match Putri KW controlled the game and won easily in the second game.

Regarding her very impressive performance at the Czech Open 2021, Putri KW said that her experience playing in the Sudirman Cup and Uber Cup really helped her to perform optimally at the Czech Open.

"Playing at Sudirman and Uber yesterday I got competitive experience from the seniors I played against, such as calm when I was behind or when I was ahead. I learned from their way of playing too. So here from the start I didn't think anything, as much as possible I tried to play. good in every match," said Putri KW as quoted by badminton.ina
